How to use this site

  1. Going abroad? Open the country page for your destination and check which LTE and 5G bands its operators use.
  2. Check your phone. Compare those bands with the bands your phone supports (see the Devices page). A missing band can mean no signal or no 5G in that country.
  3. Need data on arrival? The eSIM comparison lists representative plans per destination, each with price, data allowance, validity and check date.
  4. Watch the shutdowns. Some operators have already switched off 2G or 3G; country pages list the dates we have on record.

How fresh is the data?

Band definitions come from 3GPP specifications via Wikipedia (LTE TS 36.101, 5G NR TS 38.101, GSM TS 45.005). Operator deployments come from Wikipedia's List of LTE networks and List of 5G NR networks. 2G/3G shutdown dates come from Onomondo and ESEYE shutdown calendars. eSIM plan prices are snapshots taken on the check date shown with each price — they change often, and the price on the checkout page always prevails.

Update rhythm: band definitions after a new 3GPP release (within 2 weeks); country deployments quarterly; shutdowns quarterly; device lists every 6 months; representative eSIM prices monthly for major destinations only. Full details: Sources & updates.

Please note: a band listed for an operator does not mean nationwide coverage. Deployment lists state which bands an operator uses, not where the signal reaches. Always confirm coverage with the operator.
